“Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, no one can count the apples in a seed.”

I chose this quote for the week to help show you where I’m at: in a place of optimism and being open to having my mind blown. I need a perspective shift; something to help me see more love in the world. Naturally, I picked ‘Appletree’ by Erykah Badu as my song of the week. So press play and feel out the vibes of this letter as she surrounds your ears with that sweet, classic neo-soul.
It’s almost like the aura of Pride came and washed over the immediate city, painting the streets in rainbows and glitter, then suddenly disappearing in the night. If you live in a metropolitan city, maybe you can relate. Maybe there’s something astrological to equate to it, but there was definitely a wax and wane of emotions going through my networks (and based on some conversations I had with people outside of Toronto). That sweet collective consciousness.
Maybe there’s a proverbial wall or hurdle encroaching on your next great idea, or the stress of keeping the course is just palpable at this point in time. Past-the-halfway-point-in-the-year type energy, where there’s some unspoken race to the finish. It’s okay to step away from something you’re focused on just to be able to put the best foot forward. There’s really nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, there’s nothing to say or add to the art at the moment.
Shortly after I noticed life having her moment, it was announced that incoming natural supplements are going to be put through tougher restrictions, and more media censorship in Canada will be the new norm…the internet took fire to it. I’m definitely questioning the rationale of these decisions made at our discretion. What will it all mean for future generations?
Aside from these moments of confusion, the quote about an infinite number of apples helps me see the power of potential and really hone in on what I can do in my immediate life to change my perspective. I’m 29 now. My birthday came and left in gratitude. I am showered with love. Love. Love is really all we have in the end. It’s the reason why I write this newsletter in the first place. My friends, family, and YOU all give me that beacon of light.
What quotes are speaking to you this week? What hopes and dreams are you manifesting or working towards? As always, I’d love to know.
Keeping you in my thoughts, prayers, and lyrics…
Musically yours,
SABRE xo
